Jaster is seeking a videographer and editor as an addition to our growing team in Pittsburgh PA. This person will be responsible for planning, filming, and editing various types of digital video content.
Specific job duties include but are not limited to:
- Producing engaging and creative digital content such as videos and other forms of multimedia.
- Develop and execute video content ideas according to projects’ requirements.
- Shooting and editing high-quality videos for various projects, such as promotional videos and social media content.
- Collaborating with other team members to ensure that the content aligns with the overall goals of the brand.
- Managing and maintaining equipment, such as cameras, lighting, audio equipment, and editing software.
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in digital content creation.
- Keeping track of all footage and material, organizing, and archiving them.
Required Skills:
- Proficient in Adobe video editing platforms (Premiere & After Effects)
- Ability to work in fast-paced environments
- Knowledge in the sports industry
- Creative thinking with an excellent eye for detail
- They should be able to review and edit their own work, as well as ensure that all content and information are accurate.
- Strong verbal and visual communication skills for collaborating with clients and members of the production team
- Strong editing skills
- They should be able to visualize and outline clear, engaging, and well-structured content for various types of platforms and audiences.
- Knowledge of production and post-production techniques
- Physical ability to move and hold video and audio recording equipment for long periods
- Understanding of computer software used for planning, editing and scripting
Preferred skills:
- Self-starter that is easily motivated
- Willingness to multi-task and contribute to projects outside scope
- Knowledge with social media trends & techniques
The ideal candidate for this role will have a strong foundation in videography and digital content creation, as well as experience using video editing software, such as Adobe Premiere, Adobe Lightroom, and After Effects. They should also have a portfolio of previous work that demonstrates their skills and creativity.
