About the Position
WNBA x Golden State Warriors is looking for a Vice President to drive sponsorship revenue, strategy, and activation. In this role, you will be the ultimately collaborator with Marketing, Content, Public Relations, Basketball Operations, GSW counterparts, and Chase Center. As a vital member of the leadership team building WNBA x Golden State, you will be expected to reinforce the values and strategy of the franchise in the business community to drive trust and revenues for the short and long term. This position reports to the President, WNBA x Golden State.

This is a full-time position based onsite in Oakland, CA with weekly and event time in San Francisco, CA.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with the President on market strategy, sales approach, timelines, and results
- Collaborate alongside GSW corporate partnerships leadership team for the utilization of measurement and insights, asset ideation, sales team goals and execution, and shared activation optimization
- Hire and manage partnership development team
- Ensure all partnerships of Golden State x WNBA are executed to the highest standard
- Develop and execute an engagement strategy for partners individually and collectively
- Work closely with GSW insights team to set a new standard in the measurement variables in women’s sports
- Curate relationships with Golden State x WNBA content team, in addition to GSW studio, for the development of proactive content assets that create high engagement for Golden State x WNBA and the partner
- Assist in developing platforms for sale and enhanced WNBA x Golden State brand moments
- Own the partner utilization and communication across the organization
- Enforce brand guidelines and standards to maintain brand integrity in all partnership conversations
- Represent the growth and momentum of women’s sports to drive revenue and impact
- Bring strategic relationships into Golden State x WNBA with the goals of user acquisition and revenue
- Build and lead a high-performing team, providing guidance, mentorship, and professional development opportunities
- Set clear goals and expectations for the team and establish metrics to measure performance and track progress
- Foster an inclusive and innovative work environment, encouraging creativity and collaboration
- Manage budgets, allocate resources effectively and ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget
Required Experience & Skills
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in Business Administration or Sports Management, or equivalent work experience
- 10 years of partnership sales/management, storytelling, project management, and leadership experience in sports, entertainment, or other high-profile industry/company; agency experience preferred
- 5 years of supervisory management experience leading diverse teams of creative personnel and content creators to achieve defined goals
- Experience managing sponsorship and/or activation budgets
- Ability to think strategically and creatively, turning engagement behavior data into effective and innovative strategies and results
- Knowledge of current and emerging marketing trends
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience developing engaging and impactful sales plans and presentations, promotional campaigns, proposals and associated contract negotiations
- Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to collaborate, influence and build positive relationships within a multitude of business environments
- Ability to balance multiple projects at once in a fast-paced work environment
- Deep understanding of the game of basketball and the team including game day events, statistics and other updates
Compensation
- $175,000 + Bonus
