We are excited to hire a Training Camp Kitchen Intern for the 2024 Training Camp! The Training Camp Kitchen Intern will assist the kitchen staff with kitchen-related tasks. This position will last the entire length of training camp and the pre-season.
Responsibilities Include:
- Follows standardized recipes established by Executive Chef and Sous Chef by using appropriate ingredients, carrying out a variety of cooking methods, and demonstrating proper food handling protocol.
- Assist Sous Chef, Lead Chef, and other kitchen staff in all food preparation, storage, and receiving by following HACCP procedures, keeping kitchen and equipment in sanitary and working condition, keeping buffet table rotated with highest quality food.
- Other duties as requested including maintains organized and efficient workspace, kitchen, and dining area by keeping kitchen items stocked and ready for use.
Minimum Requirements:
- Currently enrolled in, or graduated from, study in nutrition, health science, or dietetics related field
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and have a flexible schedule as needed
Preferred Expectations:
- Experience working in intercollegiate or professional athletics/sports-related field
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to handle multiple projects
In accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, this position pays $18.29/hour. This position will work 40+ hours a week with overtime starting July 2024 and ending August 2024. This position will be required to work game days and/or events outside of a normal working hours as needed.
This position will be located at the Denver Broncos Training Center in Englewood, CO.
