Position:
The Team Operations Intern is part of the Sporting Operations Department for Minnesota United FC (MNUFC), a sports business located in the Twins Cities area of Minnesota and a member of Major League Soccer (MLS), the top tier soccer league in North America.
Job Description:
The Team Operations Intern will provide administrative and operational support in the Sporting Operations Department with Minnesota United FC. This is a part-time, paid, seasonal role based in Blaine, MN. Reporting to the VP, Soccer Operations, the main duties of the Team Operations Intern will be as follows:
Essential Duties:
- Coordinate all elements of trials for Minnesota United teams including but not limited to;
- Communication with trialists regarding arrival, time in market, housing, daily schedule
- Coordinate trialist stays in NSC dorms
- Troubleshoot all logistical issues with trialists
- Be the primary point of contact for trialists prior to and during their time in market
- Schedule meetings with trialists and technical staff members
- Plan and execute daily post-training meals at the facility
- Assist with daily equipment management needs including but not limited to;
- Daily locker room set up
- Field set up for training
- Laundry and gear distribution
- Assist in the relocation and onboarding of MNUFC and MNUFC2 players
- Manage the player lounge space, coordinate cleanings and organization of lounge as needed
- Assist with management of inventory and stocking of player lounge and MNUFC2 locker room with hydration and nutrition products
- Act as visiting team liaison during MNUFC and MNUFC2 home matches
- Deliver visiting team product/deliverables to host hotel prior to visiting team arrival
- Support player and staff family game day at MNUFC and MNUFC2 home matches
- Other duties as assigned by Sporting Operations
Education/Experience:
- Pursuing Bachelor’s degree or recent graduate preferred
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, particularly tasks that are time sensitive
- Familiarity with the professional soccer landscape
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work with others
- Bilingual candidates (English/Spanish) a plus
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office; PowerPoint, Word, Excel
- Ability to keep a strong and positive attitude that reflects the spirit of the club
- Vehicle/reliable transport
