Pro Skills Basketball (PSB) is currently hiring high-character individuals with a passion for mentoring, leading, and educating children and a strong knowledge of basketball. This is a part-time position with on-court hours performed primarily 1-2 nights per week and 1-2 weekends per month for games and tournaments as well as 1-2 hours per week dedicated to communicating with team families. This year, we will be offering ample opportunities for professional development. For the right candidates, there will be potential for growth and promotion.
PSB is the leading youth basketball organization specializing in club teams, camps, and clinics. We focus on the education and development of both basketball and life skills. The mission of Pro Skills Basketball is to empower young athletes through a culture defined by the tenacious pursuit of self-improvement and the genuine desire to motivate players and improve kids’ lives. PSB is seeking experienced and successful leaders to join our team of coaches.
The position reports directly to PSB Managers and Directors

The Team Coach has the following responsibilities:
- Help PSB City Director ensure all practices and games have coaches in attendance
- Perform quality checks according to PSB guidelines
- Provide feedback to coaches according to PSB guidelines
- Fill in for missing coaches as needed
- Submit one monthly report per team related to team, coaches, players, and parent observations/conversations.
- Coach one PSB team per year.
- Help PSB City Director organize, arrange and communicate practice, workout, and game schedules for all PSB teams
- Have schedules in place according to PSB policies
- Communicate with coaches, managers, and parents according to PSB guidelines
- Fill in for missing coaches as needed
- Help PSB City Director grow teams through grassroot marketing efforts.
- Help PSB City Director find and recruit coaches.
- Lead on-court events when necessary according to PSB guidelines
- Establish positive coach, player, and customer relations
- Be visible at your regions team practices and games to help maintain a positive relationship with the coaches, parents, and players
- Practice respect at all times
- Attend city meetings with GM and Director when necessary and provide valuable region insight related to your teams, coaches, and parents.
- Help maintain positive relationships with local facilities/gyms by ensuring that: Facilities are clean and tidy after every PSB usage. All trash is thrown away, spills are wiped up, items left behind are collected, etc. Anyone associated with PSB remains in the proper area of the facility Any damage to the facility is avoided. Any damage to a facility is communicated to PSB HQ through an Incident Report.

- Coach and PSB managers, directors, and coordinators work cohesively
- Feedback from parents is consistently positive
- Players improve on and off the court
- Players return for subsequent seasons
