Team Administration Internship
Position Summary:

The Team Administration Intern will work closely with the Team Operations Director as well as the Team Administrator in performing several tasks supporting the First Team. The Team Administration Intern will gain valuable experience and insight into what goes on behind-the-scenes on a day-to-day basis in a sports organization. This position will work out of Inova Performance Center in Leesburg, VA. This is an unpaid internship.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Help coordinate activities regarding first-team players and staff at training ground and home stadium.
  • Assist with daily team breakfast and lunch orders and set up.
  • Assist with maintaining an organizing workspace for First Team Staff
  • Assist with tasks involving team travel which may include First Team travel, new/trial players, player call-ups.
  • Be available to assist with tasks in the office when the team is on away trips.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Background in sport operations at the international, professional, or collegiate level.
  • Relationship-based and understanding and appreciative of the demands of players and staff.
  • Excellent ability to prioritize and manage competing tasks.
  • Enthusiastic and initiative-taking attitude.
  • Forward thinker and contributor of ideas and opinions to tasks in hand.
  • High work ethic, with an ability to work both independently and part of a wider team.
  • Collaborative in nature, with an efficient and effective communication style.
  • Familiarity with various software platforms including, but not limited to, Excel, Word, and Powerpoint.
Requirements:

  • Enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program and eligible for college credit.
  • Available 20-25 hours per week.
