About the Role:

The Supervisor, Conversions is responsible for all aspects of facility conversions and for assisting with facility maintenance. Reporting to the Manager, Operations, the Supervisor, Conversions has responsibility for the planning, execution and follow up of all facility conversions.

 

Your Focus in this Role:

  • Develop and facilitate operating procedures for facility conversions, which are customized to the specific needs of the facility.
  • Maintain Computerized Maintenance Management System for conversion systems.
  • Lead and support full time, part time and contract conversion staff.
  • Inspect operating function to evaluate efficiency methods, and investigates, analyzes and resolves operational and maintenance issues.
  • Available on “on-call” basis during off hours for emergency situations.
  • Inspect operating function to evaluate efficiency methods; investigates, analyzes and troubleshoots operational and maintenance issues.
  • Leads event conversions and building transitions.
  • Assist in the development and safe implementation of SOP’s.
  • Assist with facility maintenance requests as applicable.
  • Manage daily responsibilities of P/T Conversion Technicians.
  • Work within established operating procedures for facility maintenance and event conversions, which are customized to the specific needs of the facility or event..
  • Monitor and complete work orders assigned to department through CMMS.
  • Support full time, part time and contract maintenance staff.
  • Maintain inventory of venue FFE using VenueOps and CMMS as appropriate.
  • Support the department in staffing and training goals, with emphasis on development of Lead Technicians.
  • Allocate resources within budgetary guidelines.

Education, Experience and Skills:

  • High School or Technical School diploma or combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
  • 5+ years of experience in a multi-use facility.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of sports facility operation is required.
  • Ability to read and interpret layouts and floorplans in a CAD format.
  • Must be available for shift work, weekends and holidays.
  • Knowledgeable in Facility Conversions and latest best practices.
  • Knowledgeable in all regulations such as building codes, fire and health department regulations, OH&S, etc.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills: highly organized, results oriented with the ability to be flexible, and to work well under pressure, strong level of initiative required.
  • Strong technical abilities with Microsoft programs and familiarization with computerized maintenance systems an asset.
  • Leads by example by displaying a high standard of performance with the ability to communicate these expectations to the team to achieve above expectation results.
  • High level of critical and logical thinking, analysis and/or reasoning to identify underlying principles, reasons and facts.
