Super League Carolina is seeking to hire an Equipment Staff Intern to assist the equipment manager with day-to-day equipment operations for the Club. This position is for the length of the 2024 Season.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Tasks may include but are not limited to:
- Assist coaching staff with field set up and breakdown of training.
- Ensure practice and game day balls are properly inflated.
- Launder all training and team needs.
- Pack for home and away matches.
- Partner with department manager on all repairs and needs including inventory, storage, and distribution.
- Daily preparation of locker room prior to player arrival.
- Assisting the Head Athletic Trainer in preparation.
- Other administrative duties as assigned by management.
Intern Requirements:
- Applicants with previous experience in soccer (coach, staff, player) are preferred, but not required.
- Must have high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations and information.
- Must be able to work successfully in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks at once.
- Exceptional communication skills (both verbal and written).
- Flexible schedule with the ability to work weekends and evenings, as required.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of standing and walking long distance.
- Must be able to lift up to fifty pounds at a time.
