The Reality Capture Technician is responsible for assisting the Spatial Golf Technology team in daily operation of reality capture from photogrammetry and lidar sources with a primary focus on building 3D. The Technician is responsible for coordination with team members to ensure timely and accurate delivery of various deliverables for use with the ShotLink scoring systems.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in Geomatics or information systems/management or equivalent work experience

• 3 years of related experience, with at least 1+ years working experience with laser scanners

• Strong understanding of GIS principals

• Experience with aerial based lidar experience preferred, any other lidar experience a plus.

• Experience in Terra, Pix4d, Cloud Compare, Meshlab, global mapper or similar systems

• Experience performing point cloud registrations with survey grade accuracy

• Working knowledge of the game of golf and golf course design/features

• A strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office or similar Windows based software

• Excellent communications skills (written, verbal and presentation)

• Excellent organizational skills and a high-level of attention to details

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES

• Planning and coordinating pre and post site visit and GIS mapping activities, including but not limited to, review of existing documentation and development of 3D scanning plans

• Processing and registering 3D laser scan data in the field to create a cohesive 3D point cloud from a variety of data collection means.

• Ensure that maps and reports from GIS, CAD, and other related data and software required for the ShotLink scoring systems and other production systems are produced accurately and within time requirements

• Define processes used for the processing of data collected in the field.

• Perform regular implementation, processing, and quality control checks of GIS data and deliverables.

• Special projects or other duties as assigned
