JOB SUMMARY
The Promotions Coordinator will work closely with all departments to maximize partner and fan engagement, entertainment, and service. The Promotions Coordinator's primary duty will be to work in conjunction with the Entertainment Director on promotional execution functions.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Promote and strengthen Great Lakes Loon's brand values of fun, family entertainment, service excellence, and quality in all actions.
  • Support the execution of all promotional/theme nights to add entertainment to our events for fans.
  • Execute all on-field and in-game promotions as Fun Flock leader in coordination with the Entertainment Director.
  • Assist in the execution of sponsored promotional elements, such as bat kids, baseball buddies, on-field games, etc.
  • Work closely with the Marketing department to develop, implement, and manage grassroots marketing initiatives throughout the season. Maintain adaptability to capitalize on unexpected opportunities.
  • Assist in all aspects of the Loons mascot program, including employee training and oversight. 
  • Coordinate with the Entertainment Director to recruit, train, manage, and optimize the performance of the Fun Flock promotional team's cast members. 
  • Work with the Entertainment Director to update and expand the Mascot/Fun Flock training program.
  • Assist with the execution of game run-downs, script reviews, and in-game schedules.
  • Assist Game Day operations with daily briefings, end-of-game activities, guest service support, etc.
  • Lead by example & develop ideas that make the Great Lakes Loons a unique, fun, rewarding workplace. 
  • Other duties as deemed necessary or as directed by the Entertainment Director.

PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/JOB QUALIFICATIONS
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Comfortable performing in front of large audiences  
  • Ability to work flexible and demanding hours, including weekends and holidays
Preferred Education and Formal Training
  • Bachelor’s Degree or pursuing a degree in sports marketing field.
Preferred Experience
  • 1-2 years of experience in minor league baseball, professional or collegiate sports
  • An independent thinker who thrives in a collaborative environment
