Overview

The Catering Busser assists the servers in providing restaurant and catering guests with a pleasant experience.  The Busser is primarily responsible for setting the tables with dishes, napkins, silverware, glassware and condiments.   The Busser is responsible for refilling glasses of water and cups of coffee.  Following the meal the Busser will clear away dishes, silverware and glasses.

 

The employee must maintain excellent attendance and be available to work events as scheduled per business need.

 

This role will pay an hourly wage of $17.50 to $18.50.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for keeping the restaurant/catering work areas and equipment clean.
  • Responsible for setting tables with dishes, napkins, silverware, glassware and condiments.
  • Responsible for refilling guest’s water glasses and coffee cups.
  • Responsible for clearing dirty dishes, silverware and glasses and wiping down tables and chairs for the next guest.
  • Assist serving staff in delivering large orders to the guest’s table.
  • Assist in setting up and breaking down banquet sets.
  • Maintains sanitation, health and safety standards in work areas.
  • Must show demonstrated ability to meet the company standard for excellent attendance.

Qualifications

  • Ability to work in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment.
  • Ability to communicate with employees, co-workers, management staff and guest in a clear, business-like and respectful manner which focuses on generating a positive enthusiastic and cooperative work environment.
  • Possess valid food handling certificate and alcohol service permit if required by state or federal regulations.
  • Experience working in a casual and/or fine dining atmosphere helpful.
