Job Summary:

This position is dedicated to overseeing the post-event cleaning operation of the parking department. This role is integral to the department's ability to effectively clean all lots and garages after every event.  To ensure that all facilities and lots are cleaned prior to the morning shift arriving. When necessary, may also work with the day-to-day cleaning staff to assist where necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct the post event maintenance assistants to the facilities that require cleaning.
  • Assist the post event maintenance assistants in the cleaning of the facilities.
  • Pick up trash in all parking areas.
  • Pick up trash from landscaped areas.
  • Clean up spills in the garage or lobby areas.
  • Clean touch screens on kiosk.
  • Make low level repairs, such as repairing broken gate arms, etc.
  • Walk garage(s)/lot(s) after the event to note and correct any maintenance problems.
  • Empty all trash cans in the garage, the booth and the office and replace liners.
  • Apply oil absorbent to oil spills.
  • Submit requests for repairs or maintenance.
  • Keep an inventory of janitorial supplies.
  • Report any unknown, observed or suspected violations of company policy, safety hazards or any unusual occurrence to the Maintenance Supervisor in a timely manner.
  • Assist customers within the facility or as directed by the Facility Manager/Supervisor.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • 1-3 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. 
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. 
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or colleagues of organization.
  • Maintain a valid state-issued driver’s license, and acceptable driving record.

Working Conditions:

  • Must be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays
  • Extended periods of standing in all types of weather conditions
  • Position may require stooping, crouching, or kneeling
  • Ability to lift of move up to 25 pounds
  • Position may be exposed to moving mechanical parts and vehicle exhaust
