The mission of the Houston Texans Draft Class program is to provide chosen future sports professionals the opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience in the professional sports industry through exposure throughout the Houston Texans organization.  The chosen future sports professional will make meaningful contributions to Houston Texans business and/or football operations through in-depth meaningful curriculum and experiences.
 
The Houston Texans are seeking an individual for the position of Motion Graphics Intern.

Basic Function:
Assist in the creation and production of creative video content for the Club’s gameday, social media, website and broadcast platforms, with an emphasis on animation and video effects, to include but not be limited to, editing promotional videos, weekly updates to existing content and assisting the production of video features as well as designing original graphics.

Duties & Responsibilities: 
  • Create and update feature content for the in-stadium videoboard show.
  • Develop graphic-based content for Club’s social media platforms.
  • Distribute recorded features to other departments upon request.
  • Edit promotional videos for upcoming Club-related events.
  • Create promotional videos and graphics for all LSSE events.
  • Provide other editors with graphic content upon request.
  • Shoot and edit Club-related events and activities, as needed.
  • Prepare and execute content for in-stadium Club events.
  • Help maintain NFL Films and the Texans footage archive.
  • Assist in the production of assets for Pre-season TV broadcasts.
  • Provide Corporate Development department with all content need for yearly recap meetings with sponsors.
  • Perform various other tasks that may be assigned from time to time by the Creative Department.
Position requires routine face-to-face personal interaction with other Club personnel; therefore, job responsibilities must be physically performed in the Club offices and not in a telecommuting manner.

Skills Required:
  • Proficiency in Adobe After Effects and Photoshop.
  • Proficiency in non-linear editing (Adobe Premiere preferred)
  • Knowledge to use various types of cinema style cameras and production equipment.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks with multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Effective verbal, written and interpersonal communications.
  • Ability to maintain confidential and/or proprietary information.
  • Display strong interpersonal skills and the ability to create and maintain solid working relationships.

Education/Experience: 
  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year accredited college or university preferred.
  • High School Diploma required.
  • Prior experience in video production for sports and designing a variety of sports related graphics preferred.

Reports to: Senior Creative Director
