Austin FC joined Major League Soccer (MLS) as the 27th club in January 2019. Austin FC officially began competing in MLS in April 2021 and played its first match at home on June 19, 2021, in the new, 100% privately financed, state-of-the-art Q2 Stadium in Austin. Austin FC finished the regular season 2nd in the Western Conference, while also making a run to the Western Conference Finals during the 2022 MLS Cup Playoffs. We are actively seeking an intern to join our team in Match Experience.  
 
In this internship, you’ll gain valuable exposure by assisting the Marketing Team with match day activities including managing entertainment and learning the run-of-show for Austin FC, Austin FC II, and other Q2 Stadium events. This is an opportunity to contribute to Austin FC’s Marketing department as well as a great way to advance your career.

You Will:
·        Attend and participate in department and match planning meetings and immerse in various learning opportunities; and
·        Learn to assist in managing match day entertainment logistics, including credential requests, parking, tickets, timing, and other preparation aspects; and
·        Develop a good relationship with other departments such as Corporate Partnerships, Stadium Operations, and Community Relations: and
·        Managing entertainment submissions and updating database; and
·        Assist in match presentation activations like National Anthem, Color Guard, DJs, and rituals; and 
·        Assist in clipping and arranging partnership and entertainment assets post-match; and
·        Learn to manage matchday -1 activities such as checking rosters, ensure custom jerseys are completed and received, and entertainment locker rooms are set; and
·        Learn about running H-E-B Plaza activations, Partnerships, stadium ops components and other important in-stadium activities; and 
·        Assist with Austin FC II match day preparation.
 
You Have:
·        Experience in game presentation, stage managing, event management preferred but not required
·        Availability to work all or most home matches at Q2 Stadium and Parmer Field
·        Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
·        Exceptional attention to detail
·        Ability to handle multiple projects at once
·        Ability to maintain professionalism in high stress environments and while working under pressure
·        Ability to work in outside environment in different weather
·        Experience using Microsoft Office and Adobe Products is preferred
·        English and/or Spanish language proficiency is essential and Spanish/English bilingual skills are a plus. Additional languages – even better

·        Hours are variable and can easily include early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and some holidays in addition to some office hours. Ideally this internship would include some office hours and event hours.
·        This is an unpaid part-time internship, and students should ideally be able to gain academic credit for their participation.
