The Marketing & Creative Services Manager will play a pivotal role in driving the River Cats’ marketing initiatives and brand awareness. The ideal candidate will possess a strategic mindset and a proven track record of successful marketing campaigns. This manager will be responsible for overseeing various marketing channels, including digital, paid media and traditional marketing while ensuring brand consistency and creativity. This role will also support the overall functions of the Marketing Department through content ideation and working alongside the social/video team to generate photo and video-based content.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Development and execution of strategic marketing initiatives to drive ticket and merchandise sales, support community relations, partnerships, and promotional marketing, and facilitate brand recognition.
- Work collaboratively cross departmentally to develop compelling marketing content that represents the River Cats brand, drives key message points, and achieves desired goals.
- Assist the Director of Marketing with strategy and execution of marketing and ticketing initiatives.
- Management and development of Social Media & Video Coordinator and Email Marketing Coordinator.
- Work directly with the Social Media & Video Coordinator to manage all paid social media campaigns.
- Assist the Email Marketing Coordinator in building the email marketing calendar and reviewing all email copy and content.
- Track marketing and advertising campaigns’ key performance metrics to measure success, maximize results and make recommendations for optimization.
- Assist in capturing visual content at Sutter Health Park and at designated games and off-site events. Must have experience with video content creation and editing.
- Remain current on creative trends and develop content that can be incorporated into our overall marketing strategy.
- Perform other related duties, tasks and responsibilities as required.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- 2-3 years related experience in marketing/advertising, digital content management and social media.
- Creative, fun, collaborative, and solution-minded individual.
- Must have good communication and excellent storytelling/copywriting/copyediting skills.
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere).
- Proficiency with camera equipment, lighting, audio, etc.
- Strong visual eye with regards to the creation of graphics and selection of images & video content.
- Must be able to produce high-quality output while meeting specific deadlines sometimes under specific time constraints.
- Highly organized and self-directed with strong ability to prioritize.
- Must be able to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and holidays.
- Ability to work as a team under tight deadlines.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree – Marketing, Communications preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
- Must be able to work in all types of weather conditions.
This position is a full-time, exempt role with an expected annual salary of $66,560-$68,000. Final offers for this role will be made within the parameters of the salary range provided. Years of experience, skills, and other factors are considered when determining the salary offered. Total compensation & offer package will include the following:
