THE ROLE
The Marketing Associate is responsible for the creation, development and execution of all sales presentation materials and the coordination of various activities for the larger NDGP team. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to sales presentation/material design, partnership platform development, industry research, strategy & insights, and assistance with other administrative tasks. This position plays an important role in helping the Partnership Development team achieve annual revenue goals. This position will work primarily out of NDGP’s office in Chicago, with trips to South Bend during the football season and for on campus meetings and events and occasional travel elsewhere for partner and company driven initiatives.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Create and update all Partnership Development sales decks and materials. This includes the ongoing maintenance and organization of the materials within the department’s shared site.
- Work closely with the Partnership Development team to understand the unique needs and landscape of each potential partner to provide best in class presentation materials.
- Provide consistent communication between Partnership Development team on inventory being pitched as well as a consistent look and feel of the Notre Dame brand in presentation materials
- Utilize data and analytics resources to create case studies and develop high-impact presentations and infographics.
- Work closely with Fighting Irish Media, the creative arm Notre Dame Athletics, to ensure NDGP’s visual communications look and feel consistent with the Notre Dame brand standards and NCAA compliance; serve as a liaison to FIM within NDGP.
- Management of NDGP’s CRM (KORE) processes and internal reporting.
- Assist in the development and go-to-market strategy of sellable sponsorship platforms leveraging insights and the integrated marketing assets.
- Provide support to the Partnership Development team with partnership program ideation and insights that help drive revenue for NDGP.
- Photograph activation displays and other partnership executions at various games and events to be used for recap and presentation development purposes.
- Work on other projects on an as needed basis including, but not limited to, logo design, game/event invites, graphics development, and other tasks that arise over the course of the year.
- Management of NDGP’s social media accounts including the copywriting, graphic creation, video inclusion, and scheduling.
- Support the activation team through creating program and yearbook layouts, point of sale designs, social media post creation, recap decks, pre-season activation guides, owned asset marketing, event invitations, and on-site signage
- Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, the candidate must be able to perform each essential duty above at the highest levels. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Graphic Design or another related field is preferred
- 1-2 years of relevant experience in graphic design, innovation, sports/entertainment marketing, presentation material development or administrative support (experience in sports or sponsorship sales/development a plus)
- Specific emphasis and need for an expertise in Microsoft Office (Word, Power Point, Excel), various design platforms such as Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, etc.), email marketing platforms and experience in development of presentation materials.
- Strong time management, customer service, organizational and problem-solving skills
- Must be able to effectively work in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate the ability to juggle multiple competing tasks and projects while keeping key constituents in the loop.
- Must be able to demonstrate creative experience through portfolio of work samples
- Able to work non-traditional hours, in non-traditional settings including weekends, evenings, and holidays – some home games are required
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, use good judgment and decision-making skills
- Possess excellent, professional communication skills, including written and oral correspondence. This includes the ability to establish a rapport with others and build strong interpersonal relationships with a variety of personalities.
- Computer skills including Word, Excel, Power Point, Google Workspace, CRM Dynamics, and Adobe Creative Suite
- Must be dependable, flexible and able to adapt to a variety of situations
- Ability to meet deadlines without compromising creativity and quality
- High-level of attention to detail
