Are you looking for a summer internship? Are you looking for an internship where you’ll actually be doing the work versus just “assisting” with everything? Look no further!
The Macon Bacon summer internship program is designed to give college students the real world experience. Each intern becomes the right-hand person for the department head in that particular area. The goal for all of our interns is when the summer is over, you are ready to actually do the work.
The Bacon summer internship runs with our season which is from the beginning part of May (when your school is out) until the beginning of August. We have a total of 27 home games in 2024 and most of the positions have you working in the office as well.
The first six seasons of the Macon Bacon have been a smashing success with half the games being sold out. The Macon Bacon have become a national sensation and we’re looking for our next superstar. We are a collegiate summer baseball team and play in the Coastal Plain League. Our fans are treated with first-class entertainment and continuously have been in the top 5% in attendance in summer college baseball out of more than 300 teams and even had an average attendance of better than 30% of all Minor League Baseball organizations.
The Macon Bacon are led by Team President, Brandon Raphael. Together, Brandon and owner Steve DeLay have more than 52 years of combined experience all over the country in the NBA, NHL, Major League Baseball, MLS, college athletics and Minor League Baseball. With the Ultimate Toolkit Company, Steve has written books on ticket sales and partnerships that are used by hundreds of teams around the country.
We are looking for the most energetic, sizzlin' entertainer out there. Are you always the life of the party? Being a 7-foot tall piece of Bacon is not only sizzling, but an honor. Our most beloved mascot, Kevin the Bacon is a staple of the entertainment at Luther Williams Field. You are going to be a main contributor to the entertainment team and building all of the fun at the games. You'll participate in the planning and execution of all things entertainment.
