Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Work with Community Relations Manager aiding with gameday and community appearances
- Perform as the Reading Royals Mascot Slapshot
- Assist with creative planning and execution (skits, social media, videos, etc.)
- Maintain and organize mascot supplies and cleanliness of costume
- Must be able to improvise and interact with fans
- Must be fun and upbeat
- Dance background a plus
Qualifications:
- Flexible schedule, including availability weekday mornings and weekend hours
- Outgoing, dependable and organized, with a willingness and desire to have fun
- Comfortable performing in front of large crowds with an ability to generate crowd enthusiasm
- Ability to handle the demands of working in full-body costume (i.e. work outdoors in all weather conditions, move easily with limited peripheral vision)
- Possesses strong communication skills and the ability to work well with others
- Previous mascot experience is preferred, but not required
