Position Summary
Charlotte FC is looking for a Business Analytics Intern to help drive business performance and fan experience in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, high-performing work environment.
 
This team member will have a direct hand in helping to develop strategies for almost all departments of Charlotte FC, including ticket sales & service, customer relationship management (CRM), corporate partnerships, community relations, digital & email marketing, retail, concessions, and stadium operations.
 
Primary Responsibilities
  • Assist Charlotte FC Business Strategy and Analytics group in reporting and analysis of data related to ticket sales and service, ticket pricing strategy, CRM, and digital marketing efforts.
  • Build and present high-quality data visualizations, dashboards, presentations, and reports for organization-wide use, including executive management and third parties.
  • Support CRM manager in identification and creation of key customer populations for use in CRM outreach initiatives.
  • Provide best practice direction to other members of the Charlotte FC business operations group in how to effectively leverage our CRM platform.
  • Provide analysis behind projects to improve revenues & profitability, business efficiency, and fan experience.
  • Analyze sales and marketing campaign performance and deliver insight for how to iteratively improve engagement.
  • Support Charlotte FC fan feedback initiatives through surveys, real-time feedback, and reporting.
  • Assist in the development of detailed financial and analytical models to further business performance and deal negotiation.
 
Qualifications
  • BA/BS degree in a quantitative field.
  • Experience with SQL or other database languages.
  • Experience with Tableau or other data visualization tools.
  • Power user of the MS Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint). 
  • Experience with CRM (Microsoft Dynamics, Salesforce, KORE Software) a plus.
  • Experience with data science and statistical software (R, Python, SAS) a plus.
  • Experience with Ticketmaster/Archtics a plus.
  • Must have a valid US Driver’s license.
  • Must pass pre-employment screens.
  • Soccer knowledge is a plus.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements
This position operates in a professional office environment and outside in a stadium facility. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, etc. Local travel to events may be required.  This position typically works approximately 40 hours per week.
  •  Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to remain sitting for up to 8 hours at a desk and computer.
  • Ability to remain standing/walking for up to 8 hours.
  • Ability to climb stairs.
  • Ability to work both indoors and outdoors, and endure weather conditions, including rain, wind, high and low temperatures, etc.
  • Must be able to work in non-traditional settings, and work non-traditional hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.
