SUMMARY:
Central Valley Fuego FC LLC is currently looking for a Head Equipment Manager for the Academy Operations to assist in the Club’s game day functions. Travel will be required to both SoCal (as far as San Diego) and NorCal (as far as the Bay area) and there is the potential of overnight stays. If the team makes Nationals or attends USL A Cup 2025, then the Head Equipment Manager will need to be available to travel and stay for the duration of the tournaments. This position may also provide an opportunity to assist the 1st team equipment manager with some of their daily duties.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES (INCLUDED BUT NOT LIMITED TO):

Game Day Expectations:

● Must be available to work all Academy games, and any mandatory events as determined by management
● Assist with game day preparation and set up. Set up and takedown can be physically demanding (lifting heavy items, moving equipment, etc.)
● Ensure all equipment is made available and to a certain standard (balls, bibs, cones, flags etc.)
● Work with players to ensure all appropriate clothing is worn and made available
● Assist Head Coach with material needed for team talks (such as pens, pads etc.)
● Work with media team to ensure video recording is set up appropriately and completed (if available)
● Work with Athletic Trainer to complete all necessary water and Gatorade/Powerade duties
● Prepare all necessary clothing for road trips and ensure all equipment is returned and washed if
● necessary
● Ensure proper use, care, and storage of program equipment
● Ensure program/facility rules, policies and procedures are followed; maintain and enforce safety standards
● Assist staff in other departments with various administrative and operational tasks as needed
● Other duties and projects as assigned

Training Expectations:

● Be available for all Academy training events
● Assist with field set up and break down (especially need areas relating to equipment use)
● Ensure all equipment is made available and to a certain standard (balls, bibs, cones, flags etc.)
● Work with players to ensure all appropriate clothing is worn and made available
● Ensure video recording is set up appropriately and completed (if available) 
● Work with Athletic Trainer to complete all necessary water and Gatorade duties
● Have excellent working relations with all support staff
● Meet fair and reasonable requests made by the Sporting Director & Head Coach

Regional Training Centers (RTCs):

• Be available for all RTC events
• Assist with field set up and break down (especially need areas relating to equipment use)
• Ensure all equipment is made available and to a certain standard (balls, bibs, cones, flags etc.)
• Assist with check-in
• Ensure players, parents, coaches meet all club requirements and follow rules and regulations as set forth by Fuego
• Have excellent working relations with all support staff
• Meet fair and reasonable requests made by the Sporting Director

Additional Club & Affiliate programs & Camps/Clinics:

• Be available for all events
• Assist with field set up and break down (especially need areas relating to equipment use)
• Ensure all equipment is made available and to a certain standard (balls, bibs, cones, flags etc.)
• Ensure players, parents, coaches meet all club requirements and follow rules and regulations as set forth by Fuego
• Have excellent working relations with all support staff
• Meet fair and reasonable requests made by the Sporting Director

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES: 
● Must possess a high level of organization, initiative and drive
● Natural sense of ownership for duties and deadlines as well as drive for continuous improvement
● Experience functioning in a 24/7 operating environment and must be able to work non-standard hours, including nights, weekends, game days and holidays as required
● Must demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills both written and oral
● Listens effectively, transmits information accurately and understandably, and seeks feedback
● Ability to problem solve and conduct oneself with poise and professionalism
● Commitment and work ethic to achieve the highest standards

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
● High school diploma or equivalent
● Ability to work nights and weekends for all Academy games 
● Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
● May be required to lift up to 50 pounds
● May require lifting, bending, reaching, for extended periods of time
● May be required to walk throughout stadium (including climbing stairs) during each shift
● Ability to work under tight deadlines
● Maintaining highest level of professionalism and confidentiality within a pro-team environment is required
● Ability to work in variable temperatures, including extreme hot and cold weather based on the season
● Must be self-motivated, detail-oriented and have a strong sense of accountability
● Experience working in a fast paced, high tempo, high stress environment
● Professional soccer experience preferred but not required
