About the Sioux Falls Stampede:
The Sioux Falls Stampede is a Tier-1 Junior Hockey team that plays in the United States Hockey League (USHL). The Stampede have won the USHL Organization of the Year award three times in the past eight years and were also recently Clark Cup Champions in 2018-2019. The Stampede ranks among the top per-game attendance throughout Junior, College, and Semi-Pro Hockey organizations and play at the Denny Sanford PREMIER Center. Over 40 former Stampede players have gone on to skate in the NHL.
Internship Description:
If you are looking to break into sports, learn about the industry, and add to your resume - this is the internship for you. We are searching for passionate, hard-working individuals who have a desire to learn about the operational and promotional aspects of sports. Game Day Promotions Interns will assist the Director of Game Operations in the planning and execution of all aspects of Stampede home games - including on-ice and in-game promotions, sponsorship activations, engaging with fans, and other tasks as assigned. This paid internship is a paid, part-time position that consists of 30 home games from October 2024 through April or May 2025.
Qualifications
- College student (underclassmen and upperclassmen are all encouraged to apply) or recent graduate with an interest in sports or live events.
- Interns have the ability to receive college credit if desired.
- Must be willing to work a majority of the 30 home games, which will include weekends and holidays.
- Must be punctual, responsible, flexible, and team-orientated.
- Must have a growth mindset and be prepared to learn and be challenged regularly.
- Must be ready to have a lot of fun!
