Seasonal Retail Sales Job Summary
We are currently seeking enthusiastic and professional retail sales associates to help us expand our market share in the face-paced sports retail industry. In this role, you will greet & help customers make informed purchase decisions, represent the Hudson Valley Renegades, and provide exceptional customer service at all times. You will play a vital part in reaching our sales goals while learning/implementing in-venue sales strategies.
Retail Sales Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare team store/satellite store units for opening (cleaning, merch sizing, building out units etc.)
- Greet and assist customers in an engaging and professional manner
- Maintain current and thorough knowledge of all available products/team alternate identities
- Know where products are located in the store/satellite units
- Answer all customer questions and address concerns
- Make helpful suggestions that will be useful to the customer
- Handle all transactions with accuracy
- Make every effort to ensure the customer has an excellent shopping experience and close out sale
- Maintain the appearance of all displays, tidying and restocking as needed
- Participate in inventorying and stocking (may require heavy lifting at times)
- Properly secure merchandise and follow closing procedures at the end of day
Retail Sales Requirements and Qualifications
- High school diploma (or equivalent), and/or at least one year experience in a retail sales setting is strongly preferred
- Basic reading, writing, math, and computer skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Positive and friendly attitude
- Reliable and punctual
- Basic bookkeeping skills and able to run the cash register
- Familiarity with OpSuite POS software is a plus
- Commitment to accuracy during all transactions
- Able to memorize product line features and specifications
- Able to engage in dialogue with strangers, helping them make informed decisions
- Must be honest, trustworthy, and hardworking
