ABOUT THIS ROLE: Memphis 901 FC are seeking an enthusiastic, driven, and energetic individuals to join our summer internship program. The selected candidate(s) must be available to work a flexible schedule including nights, holidays, and weekends, especially as it relates to games and other events. Intern roles will be part-time, including office hours and game days. Interns will develop valuable skills and gain practical experience in the professional sports environment.

· Work under the supervision of the community development manager and marketing manager

· Assist with digital & traditional marketing efforts

· Conduct research in support of community development & relations

· Assist with enhancing the game day experience at Memphis 901 games

· Assist in organizing and executing community events, fan engagement activities and events with community partners

· Assist with gameday set-up and takedown of fan experience elements

· Pursuit of sport management, marketing, communication, and/or business degree is preferred.

· Computer proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

· Strong communication skills and telephone etiquette.

· Ability to multi-task and handle a variety of projects.

· Basic knowledge of soccer and appreciation of the sport is encouraged.

· Ability to work a minimum of 20 hours/week in both a traditional office and remotely, as well as non-traditional hours for events and game days, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as necessary.

· Computer proficient with own personal laptop.

· Available for credit in a college program at the Undergraduate or Graduate level. All internships will be paid.

· Must have valid driver’s license and own method of transportation.

The internship requires candidates to function in a high-activity and heavily crowded outdoor professional sports venue. Interns will be exposed to inclement weather of varying degrees. While performing the duties of this internship, the candidate is regularly required to stand for long periods of time, walk long distances, and climb up/downstairs. The intern is required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or sit and must lift and/or move up to 45 pounds.
