POSITION SUMMARY:
The Events & Fan Entertainment Coordinator is the main liaison between the organization and both internal and external clients of the Gastonia Baseball Club and the Stadium. This position is responsible for organizing, confirming, coordinating, and providing support to each applicable department to ensure a safe and seamless execution of each event. This position is also responsible for creating promotions and scripts for all Gastonia Baseball Club home games and special events in the stadium. This person would work in coordination with multiple internal departments to execute the full vision for all live entertainment. This person will also manage and lead the internship program.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
· Lead the event production of Gastonia Baseball Club home games and events through creative thinking and planning to enhance the in-stadium fan experience.
· Coordination, integration, and execution of all in–stadium digital assets, including sponsored assets.
· Develop event scripts, run of shows, and create and manage content for Gastonia Baseball Club games and other special events.
· Lead the control room staff including scheduling and directing the show.
· Stay on top of industry trends and develop new concepts to incorporate into Gastonia Baseball Club event production elements.
· Oversee all on-site event production vendors (signage, pyrotechnics, military, flags, audio, DJs, Anthem performers, hosts, staging and more).
· Oversee any on-field or in-stadium recognitions, partner activations, and award ceremonies.
· Work with marketing, team, partnerships, and public relations department to create content for in-stadium show, live stream, social media and advertisements.
· Fulfill video production needs of both internal and external clients.
· Provide other assistance as needed to execute events.
· Create master event schedule to include Gastonia promotions, events, and external specialty events.
· Conduct internal production meetings that clearly communicate all event requirements and drive the goals and objectives of each assigned event.
· Manage event expenses for settlements and maintain budgetary parameters.
· Manage internship program including staffing, scheduling, and training.
· Other duties as assigned by Supervisor/Management.
QUALIFICATIONS
· Bachelor’s degree from an accredited College/ University required.
· Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience as an event lead or related position within the sports/entertainment industry preferred.
· Experience reading contracts and executing terms listed within.
· Knowledge of broadcast control room and production environments.
· Ability to understand/follow creative direction and incorporate constructive feedback.
· Detail-oriented, driven self-motivator with a strong work ethic to get the job done.
· Excellent organizational and time management skills.
· Possess a positive and optimistic attitude
· Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite programs - Excel, Word, Power Point, and Outlook.
· Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays as the event calendar requires.
· Strong time management skills and ability to work within strict deadlines and quick turnarounds.
· Highly creative and willingness to contribute innovative ideas/thinking.
· Strong understanding of Daktronics and Expression.
· Ability to think quickly on your feet and operate in stressful situations.
· Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
