JOB TITLE: Desktop Support Coordinator
DEPARTMENT: Information Technology
WORK LOCATION: Edmonton
REPORTS TO: CFO & VP Business Administration
JOB DESCRIPTION:
● Respond to Football & Business operations IT support requests
● Install, configure & support workstations, laptops, tablets and iPhones
● Maintaining an inventory of company hardware and software
● Managing User accounts and managing access control
● Assist in managing & maintaining the network of servers, computers and software used across the organization
● Provide end user support onsite during normal hours of operation and via e-mail, phone and/or remote tools outside of normal hours of operations
● Complete other responsibilities consistent with the role
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Business Operational Duties
· Support end users in their use of systems & technology
· Develop and maintain installation and configuration procedures
· Monitoring system performance and troubleshooting issues
· Manage and maintain the organizations mobile devices
· Identify areas of cost savings as appropriate
· Research new technologies and their impact to organizational activities
System Support
● Provide support for hardware installations, upgrades, failures
● Provide guidance and support for system upgrades, installations and maintenance both at a hardware and software level
● Provide user support for authorized software applications
● Participate in the planning and implementation of system installations in both instructional and administrative systems
● Work with vendors to ensure systems and software applications interact appropriately with existing applications and operating systems
● Install and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, servers, copiers and printers
● Perform network monitoring and troubleshooting, identifying potential problems that may affect network performance or stability
Network Support
● Assist in providing network infrastructure support, of wired and wireless networks
● Assist in providing support for all networking equipment (servers, routers, firewalls, storage, switches, etc.)
GAME DAY DUTIES:
● Help to ensure all Corporate & Stadium technology is functional and effective on game days, including:
· Point of Sale systems
· 50/50 Draw hardware & software
· Staff radios
· Digital signage and menu boards
SKILLS & PROFICIENCIES DESIRED:
● MS Windows desktop operating systems
● Windows Server configuration & administration
● Active Directory & Group Policy management would be an asset
● MS Azure &/or Intune administration experience an asset
● any Mac OS experience an asset
● Experience of virtualization an asset
● Analytical and problem-solving skills
● A good level of general IT knowledge
● Excellent customer service skills, face-to-face and over the phone
● Ability to occasionally lift heavy items (30 lbs)
● Ability to work with a flexible schedule and be available on call and on weekends if needed
EXPERIENCE: 0 - 2 years
EDUCATION & TRAINING:
Degree related to Computer Sciences, Network Administration or Systems Administration desired. Equivalent experience & industry qualifications will be considered.
