Duties / Responsibilities
- Assess injuries and manage comprehensive treatment programs to prevent injury and rehabilitate athletes.
- Develop conditioning programs for injured and non-injured athletes to ensure safety in the program design incorporating nutrition plans and schedules customized to meet individual athlete needs.
- Design and implement comprehensive training or rehabilitation programs to prevent injury and illness among athletes.
- Provide manager daily updates regarding players health
- Evaluate and manage injuries. Maintain medical documentation on each athlete and acts as a liaison between the physician and the athlete.
- Prepare athletes for practice or competition based on team schedules, applicable regulations and guidelines, and in conjunction with physician and sports performance staff.
- Provide emergency aid (basic wound care, BLS/CPR/AED) when necessary.
- Coordinate local entry and exit physicals and doctor appointments.
- Maintain an organized and clean athletic training room
- Responsible for following all HIPAA regulations and guidelines as well as OSHA guidelines
- ·Follow professional guidelines, laws and standards set by Professional, Federal and State Licensing Boards
- Follow and enforce all League, state and local covid protocols and mandates
- Be aware of Emergency Action/Operation Plan with the organization and the local EMS
- Exhibit a professional image representing Lake Country DockHounds at all functions
- Complete necessary paperwork as requested from Lake Country DockHounds management
- Any other requirements imposed by the applicable affiliate site
- Perform additional duties as required
- Provide General Manager list of supplies that stays within yearly budget
Other Requirements
- On-Site for all home games & practices, starting with spring training (May 1, 2024)
- Travel to away games with team and provide support on the road for team (Per Diem and hotel provided)
