POSITION: Account Executive, Ticket Sales

STATUS: Full-Time, Exempt (On-Site)
SUMMARY: Generate incremental revenue through the sale of all Orange Bowl Festival Events with the primary focus of new Orange Bowl tickets and ticket package sales. The ideal candidate must be an aggressive, experienced sales professional who possesses the ability to maximize ticket sales opportunities for all Orange Bowl Festival Events (i.e. Orange Bowl, Basketball Classic and all ancillary Festival events). Candidate will be responsible for implementing strategies for ticket sales through referrals, networking, and relationships developed in tandem with community and business organizations. Phone prospecting will be a major component of building a sales pipeline in order to reach ticket sales targets.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct sales presentations to businesses, organizations and individuals in South Florida and the surrounding market place, including assigned outer-market areas (e.g. Palm Beach, Collier, Lee, Monroe counties).
- Primarily focused on incremental/new Discover Orange Bowl ticket accounts.
- Coordinate an efficient and effective sales campaign including outbound prospecting via phone calls and networking efforts.
- Conduct off-site presentations to potential groups and attend luncheons, chamber events, seminars, etc. to develop a pipeline of potential ticket patrons.
- Consistently and professionally increase awareness of Orange Bowl mission and Festival events throughout the South Florida community.
- Attain individual and department sales goals as set by the Vice President, Ticket Sales and Service.
- Manage schedule to achieve daily and weekly sales activity goals including phone calls, contacts and appointments which will be monitored and reviewed on a weekly and monthly basis by Vice President, Ticket Sales and Service.
- Maintain accurate documentation of prospecting and sales activity.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree plus two (2) years experience in a similar field.
- Able to manage, prioritize and bring to completion multiple projects.
- Excellent oral and written communication, customer service and problem solving skills.
- Proven ability to meet goals and work well with peers and supervisors in a competitive team environment.
- Sales and/or customer service experience preferred.
- Previous experience with a sports franchise, in sports industry, or with ticketing software a plus.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
- Ability to handle heavy sales prospecting volume.
- Basic understanding of Microsoft Word and Outlook.
- Ability and willingness to work flexible hours including holidays, evenings and weekends.
