The Staten Island FerryHawks are seeking an Account Executive to generate revenue through selling sponsorships, group and season ticket packages. The FerryHawks are a member of the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball. The team was established in 2022.
Responsibilities Include:
- Meet or exceed overall revenue goals.
- Develop and maintain positive personal relationships with both groups and season ticket/partial plan holders via outbound calls, personalized letters, emails and face-to-face interaction and team functions
- Make an average minimum of sixty (60) proactive touch points per day (telephone, email, letters, face-to-face).
- Provide superior service to all inbound customer communication: phone calls, email, etc.
- Implement and execute all amenities, benefits, and events for sponsors, group and season ticket holders.
- Work with the box office staff to address all group and season ticket holder service needs such as customer service issues, ticket exchanges, add-on requests, financial billing, and other ticketing and team-related questions.
- Utilize Score (CRM) to track and report the progress of relationships with group/suite buyers, as well as to ensure client profiles are always up-to-date.
Qualifications:
- Passion for personal development in sales/sports
- Positive attitude with a team-first mentality.
- Bachelor’s degree
- Minimum of 1 year of sales experience and/or related internship in the sports industry
- Ability to solicit new business on an on going basis through cold calling and in person sales
- Ability to create professional sales proposals
- Ability to execute presentations on a sales call
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong leadership, organizational, and computer skills
- A flexible work schedule including nights, weekends and holidays, and off hours
- Knowledge of and experience with youth leagues, schools, churches, civic organizations, and recreation departments a plus
Salary is commensurate with experience and includes a base salary plus commissions. 401K plan and Health Benefits are also available.
