POSITION: Ticket Sales & Services Intern
DEPARTMENT: Ticket Sales & Services
REPORTS TO: Manager, Ticket Sales
STATUS: Internship, Unpaid
SUMMARY: This is an exciting opportunity for an individual interested in a career in Ticket Sales & Services. Intern will observe and learn the basics of how a professional ticket department operates. Individual may qualify for college credit if allowed by their college/university. This position is an unpaid internship.
LEARNING EXPERIENCE
Intern will learn and be exposed to:
· Inner workings of a Ticket Sales, Services & Operations department of a major non-profit sports and event organization
· Assist in the execution of outbound sales campaigns, customer service, database marketing, box office operations and day-of-game responsibilities
· Handling of applicable sales data entry prior to distribution to sales staff
· Assist with promotional activities and events to create awareness and generate sales leads
· Interact with other departments to promote sales for festival events while gaining knowledge on how to improve the fan experience
· Learn administrative ticket support functions
· Opportunity to participate in Orange Bowl Committee events (weekdays and weekends)
· Assist with other organizational needs, as necessary
PREREQUISITES
· Pursuing a degree and/or career in business, marketing, communications, sports management or sports sales
· Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Photoshop, Publisher and typing skills
· Ability to lift a minimum of 20 pounds
Note: Preferred commitment of a minimum of 20 hours a week consistent with academic demands/schedule. Ability to work nights/weekends as needed.
